Bell's Ceramic bell decanter Queen's 60th 1986 port winesThis is the 1986 April 21st Queen Elizabeth II 60th birthday decanter. Very collectible. In box. It was in the 1920s that the idea of a bell shaped Decanter was first conceived. It began life made out of blue glass in a rather more traditional Decanter shape as a specialist item and, by the 1930s, the concept had developed in design. It was then being made in porcelain and, although the colour was still predominately blue, it looked more like a bell.

Sweet with a sherbet fizz and a little salted caramel but actually its more like peanut brittle

and staggering depth

Nose: Pleasantly grassy and flowery

sweet-ish close

velvety and sweet wine

The first mouthfeel is extremely powerful

Pair with dark chocolate

special lines had to be installed at the Wade factories in Stoke and Portadown

rubbed leaves… And then quite a lot of caraway and juniper
